Sixteen years ago, I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. My immediate thought was death. After speaking with my medical team, I was told my cancer had been found early and a mastectomy was recommended. This left me feeling afraid and scared, but with God, and the support of my family and friends, I made it. I made it through all the pain and tears after going through a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple reconstructive surgeries. The process gave me the strength to never give up on anything and always trust in God.
