AUBURN – On April 10, 2017, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Member Services Representatives George Pina and Marco Castro visited the California Conservation Corps facility in Auburn to talk with CSLEA/Association of Conservationists (ACE) Members Mark Campidonica, Angel Parga and Steve Strangio.
“It’s nice when our CSLEA member services representatives get a chance to drop in at a worksite, say hello and say ‘What’s going on? What’s on your mind? How can we help you?’” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “They discuss equipment, salary, assignments, scheduling – and bring that information back to our attorneys who are assigned to that particular job classification. Communication is key to improving where we spend much of our time, and that’s at work.”
Conservationists are given emergency assignments that often take them away from home for weeks at a time. They assist with disaster and emergency response including flooding and fires. They also work to protect California’s natural resources. CSLEA would like to thank CCC conservationists for their services to the Golden State and thank Conservationists Campidonica, Parga and Strangio for their time and sharing their thoughts.
