Things You Can Learn from a California Park Ranger

SACRAMENTO – At the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), we love when our members share with us their talents, gifts, and duties as public safety professionals for the State of California.

Below is CSLEA Member, Resource Protection Peace Officers Association (RPPOA) Secretary and State Park Ranger John Geno Lucich demonstrating how easy it is to make fire with flint and steel.

“Yes, it is really that easy,” said Lucich.  “This is the type of programs I do.   I have on series I call ‘camp cookery with a ranger.’  Come visit, learn and explore your state parks.  We can help you build a classic campfire.  Just ask a ranger.”

Thanks for sharing, Geno!
