SACRAMENTO – On April 18 – May 1, 2017, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Member Services Representative Shelley Bishop visited CSLEA members who work as Licensing Registration Examiners (LRE) at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Temecula, Rosemead, Glendale and Fontana.
“Shelley is very enthusiastic about checking in with our members,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “Sometimes it’s just to say hi, we’re here if you need us, other times she is introducing CSLEA and the Coalition of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE) to new LREs. She is very knowledgeable about all things CSLEA and how we can best help our members. In addition, our members feel very comfortable talking to her. If changes or corrections need to be made, Shelley contacts us immediately. My thanks to our members who met with Shelley and, also, for the jobs they do every day working to protect us out on the roadway.”
LREs conduct driving exams for new and veteran drivers. Their jobs tend to be dangerous ones, as their offices are basically the passenger seats of moving vehicles driven by inexperienced drivers or drivers whose skills must be re-tested.
