SACRAMENTO – Shane Wilson has many titles to his name. He is a CALFIRE Deputy State Fire Marshal, Chief of the Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate Fire Marshal and Emergency Services Association (FMESA). After rescuing a man from a burning home, you can add “hero” to that list.
“I am getting a lot of the spotlight for this event but I want to make it very clear that this was a complete group effort.” Wilson wrote on the Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
