By CSLEA Member Services Representative Jim Laughlin
HERCULES – On October 4, 2017, CSLEA conducted an outreach event with Program Representatives at the California State Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) in Hercules.
The Bureau is nationally recognized as a leading automotive consumer protection agency.
Program Representatives conduct investigations that can result in administrative, civil and criminal charges. Current automotive crime trends include auto body repair fraud where auto body shops charge for repairs not provided. Another growing crime trend is digital smog cert mills where smog inspections are falsified.
CSLEA is proud of all these men and women who keep California consumers safe.
