SACRAMENTO – California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona attended three functions throughout California October 17-21, 2017 in an effort to further enhance a strong working rapport with leaders in California government.
On October 17th, President Barcelona travelled to Fullerton to visit with Governor Jerry Brown and Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk–Silva (D-Orange County) at a fundraiser for Quirk-Silva. The following day, President Barcelona was in Irvine at the home of Irvine City Councilmember Melissa Fox for a fundraiser for State Controller Betty Yee and on October 20-21, President Barcelona attended the California Legislative Black Caucus in Monterey.
“Attending these events is a great way for CSLEA to be in front of California’s decision makers and policy makers,” said Barcelona. “I speak to those I meet on behalf of our members and never lose sight of our issues and concerns. Our continued presence at these events puts all of us up front and center and continues to strengthen our footsteps at the State Capitol.”
