CSLEA - RPPOA Member Awarded California's Wildlife Officer of the Year

MONTEREY – Congratulations to California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and Resource Protection Peace Officers Association (RPPOA) Member Byron Trunnell, who, on January 9, 2018, was recognized as California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Wildlife Officer of the Year!

As stated on CDFW’s Facebook page, “Trunnell patrols in the Sacramento area and has been a wildlife officer for 18 years. He was presented with the award at CDFW's Advanced Officer Awards Training in Monterey.”

“Congratulations to Officer Trunnell and a job well done,” said RPPOA President Matt Yarbrough.  “It’s an absolute honor to be recognized by your department.  We are proud of Officer Trunnell and thank him for his service to the State of California as a wildlife officer for 18 years
