SAN DIEGO – On February 23-25, 2018, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Political Action Committee (PAC) attended the 2018 California Democratic Convention at the San Diego Convention Center.
“This was an important work weekend for all of us,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We were front and center at the convention proudly representing our members and meeting with leaders and candidates in the California Democratic Party. We are CSLEA strong. These legislators and candidates know who our members are, what they do, and they know we are in constant overdrive protecting our members and the working class.”
Some of the 2018 candidates CSLEA PAC representatives greeted included Gubernatorial Candidates Gavin Newsom and Antonio Villaraigosa, U.S. Senate Candidate Kevin de Leon, Lt. Governor Candidate Dr. Ed Hernandez, Attorney General Candidate Xavier Becerra, State Controller Candidate Betty Yee, and Secretary of State Candidate Alex Padilla. CSLEA representatives also spent moments with Senate Pro Tem elect Toni Atkins, Senators Bill Dodd, Holly Mitchell, and Bob Wieckowski, Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
California representatives from Washington D.C. who spoke at the convention included Representatives Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters and Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Those in attendance from CSLEA were: President Alan Barcelona, CFO Ricardo Sanchez, Senior Vice President Tina Brazil, Vice Presidents Kenny Ehrman and Tom Ineichen, Directors Al Cardwood, Kevin Highbaugh and George Tiongson and Secretary Chris Ehrman.
