SAN DIEGO – Congratulations to California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) Member Storm Huie on his gold medal win in the 100 meter dash (30-34 age group) at the 2018 United States Police and Fire Games held in San Diego this month.
Huie, a California Lottery investigator, competed on June 4-5, 2018. He not only finished first in the 100 meter dash (11.67) in the track and field event for the 30-34 age group, he was also first overall among all 100 meter dash competitors.
In addition to track and field, Huie also competed and finished fourth in the 500 meter row (1:28.3) in the indoor row event for the 30-39 age group.
Huie is no stranger to Police and Fire Games. He has competed in the Western States, United States and World Police and Fire Games since 2009.
“CACI is proud of Investigator Huie and always eager to sponsor him,” said CACI President Dennis Maffei. “We are committed to assisting our members, on and off the job. We value our members and their commitment to good health, and healthy competition!”
“Thank you to my beautiful wife for giving me permission to compete, my new baby boy who always makes me smile, and to all my co-workers and current supervisor for their constant encouragement and support,” said Huie. “I could not have accomplished this without all of your help. I am looking forward to representing the Lottery and CACI and CSLEA at next year’s US Police and Fire Championships.”
