SACRAMENTO – Approximately 40 California Franchise Tax Board investigators, all members of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) attended a noontime outreach meeting hosted by CSLEA and CACI on June 27, 2018.
CACI President Dennis Maffei greeted the members, introduced CSLEA Chief Counsel Kasey Clark and staff, and discussed issues of concern among the investigators. Chief Counsel Clark addressed the United States Supreme Court’s decision on Janus V. AFSCME, Assembly Bill 2165 Firearms: prohibitions: exemptions, pay increases, retention, vacancies, reallocation and participation in the upcoming contract negotiations.
“Thank you to our members who attended this outreach meeting to ask questions, provide input and to become informed about CSLEA and CACI’s roles in their careers,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “Our members don’t always see us in action and what we do every day of the week to support them and their futures. I am enthused we had such a wonderful turnout and thank CACI for providing lunch for everyone. This is an important time for us leading up to contract negotiations in spring of next year.”
