SANTA CRUZ – On June 26, 2018, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Member Services Representative Jim Laughlin met with State Parks lifeguards in Santa Cruz on California’s Central Coast. State Parks lifeguards are first responders when individuals find themselves in distress at California’s most popular beaches.
“Make no mistake about it, these seasonal lifeguards bravely enter the water to rescue people struggling to survive,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “They serve the public on land and in the water. They are true first responders.”
CSLEA welcomed 22 new seasonal members and thanked them for their service.
