CSLEA Meets with New SCIF Investigators in Vacaville

By CLSEA Member Services Representative Jim Laughlin

VACAVILLE- On August 15, 2018, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) hosted a new employee orientation for two new State of California Insurance Fund (SCIF) investigators.  SCIF investigators are tasked with conducting complex investigations into premium fraud, workers compensation claim fraud as well as medical and legal provider fraud.  They protect businesses as well as workers.

“The job of these investigators is to protect the integrity of the workers compensation program and it is our job at CSLEA, as their union, to protect them,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona.  As a CSLEA member services representative, Jim Laughlin conducts new employee orientations to introduce CSLEA to new employees and share with them our many benefits and services CSLEA provides.  On behalf of CSLEA, I welcome two of our newest members, SCIF Investigators James Campbell and Ernest Mejia.”
