SACRAMENTO- On September 11, 2018, nearly 35 Bargaining Unit 7 members attended a lunch-time outreach meeting hosted by the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the California Association of Law Enforcement Employees (CALEE). The meeting was in response to job- related concerns of California Department of Justice (DOJ) security officers, field representatives, criminal intel & ID specialists at 4949 Broadway.
“When our members have questions, or feel the need to meet with our representatives, we do everything we can to set up a meeting at a time and place that is convenient to them,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “I thank our members for their interest in their union and what their union can do for them. I also thank CSLEA CFO and CALEE President Ricardo Sanchez, CSLEA Chief Counsel and General Manager Kasey Clark, Senior Counsel Ryan Navarre and CSLEA representatives George Pina and Marco Castro for attending.”
The outreach meeting was a chance for those in attendance to ask questions about CSLEA benefits and services and to discus issues such as job security, retirement security, increased pay and benefits, reclassification, retired annuitants, training, as well as recruitment and retention.
