NORWALK – As the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate associations prepare for contract negotiations with the state, CSLEA attorneys and affiliate board directors are meeting with members regarding possible contract proposals.
On February 7, 2019, CSLEA Senior Counsel Jim Vitko and Counsel Stacy Olsen attended a California Association of Fraud Investigators (CAFI) meeting in Norwalk with CAFI Director Daniel Schmidt. In attendance at the meeting were Employment Development Department investigators. Investigators from Sacramento and Anaheim joined the conversation via a conference call.
“Jim and I met with investigators at EDD in Norwalk to discuss contract proposals, benefits of CSLEA and CAFI membership and various department concerns,” said Olsen.
“It is important that we stay active with our members day in and day out and all year long, every year, not just as we approach contract negotiations,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “Thank you to our members who see the value in this and for taking an interest in their futures and our role in pushing for increases in their salaries and benefits.”
CSLEA is currently accepting suggested contract proposals. The deadline to submit collective bargaining proposals is February 28, 2019. For the form and information, please click here.
