CAMP SAN LUIS OBISPO – On April 18, 2019 Hospital Police Association of California (HPAC) President Luis Jimenez, along with California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Supervising Counsel Dave De La Riva, Department of State Hospitals (DSH)-Coalinga Site Representative Ezra Cosby, DSH-Atascadero Site Representative Jennifer Chance, and DSH-Atascadero Site Representative Robert Barraza, met with 32 academy cadets who are currently attending the Department of State Hospitals Office of Protective Services Police Academy located at Camp San Luis Obispo.
The police cadets were provided lunch and given information on the structure of CSLEA, HPAC, and a brief presentation regarding the benefits of becoming a CSLEA member. The representatives and Counsel De La Riva answered questions from the cadets regarding what these benefits covered and the processes on how to contact their representatives and/or CSLEA attorneys should they need representation or have any issues or concerns they need to address.
The cadets are scheduled to graduate on May 31, 2019. We wish them all good luck in their new careers as Hospital Police Officers.
