RANCHO CUCAMONGA – When California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) Site Representative Robert Forte invited California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) attorneys to meet with California State Lottery investigators over lunch on April 30, 2019, they gladly accepted the opportunity to say hello and discuss any concerns investigators may have.
“We met with investigators from the Rancho Cucamonga, Santa Fe and Sacramento offices,” said CSLEA Counsel Stacy Olsen. “CSLEA Senior Counsel Jim Vitko and I enjoyed our visit and answering some questions. Thank you to Robert Forte for including us. This is a great way for us to communicate with our valued members.”
In addition to meeting with lottery investigators, on April 29, 2019, Senior Counsel Vitko met with four Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) licensing registration examiners (LREs) in Westminster to conduct a new employee orientation. All four LREs were introduced to CSLEA and the Coalition of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE). These LREs are among CSLEA and COLRE’s newest members.
Also new to CSLEA membership are two California State Parks Communications Operators who met with CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez in Rancho Cordova on April 29th.
“We welcome our newest members and are ready to assist them,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We are a strong association that is currently negotiating a contract for nearly 7,000 state workers. We fight for our members’ rights in the workplace and counsel them through dilemmas that consistently pop up with supervisors. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are so accessible and willing to roll up our sleeves to assist our members.”
