WEST SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the CHP Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) extends a warm welcome to six new members who are currently attending the CHP Academy in West Sacramento as they train for public safety dispatcher duties.
On May 9, 2019, CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez and CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar conducted a New Employee Orientation to introduce the dispatchers to their union and the benefits of becoming a member of both associations.
“Training for CHP dispatchers is intense and can be intimidating,” said Perez. “This is a great time for us to say hello, let them know how we can assist them, how we have helped their soon-to-be colleagues in the past and why union membership is so important. I have assisted CHP dispatchers with many, many issues over the years. I enjoyed meeting our newest members and I’m confident they’ll be great public safety professionals.”
