SACRAMENTO – At the request of two California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) affiliate presidents, CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez conducted a basic site representation class on May 20, 2019 at CSLEA headquarters in Sacramento. In attendance were an investigator and special investigator from the California Association of Fraud Investigators (CAFI) and a licensing representative from the association California Alcoholic Beverage Control Agents (CABCA).
“It is always great getting to know our members and those who want to become more active in their union and in their workplace,” said Perez. “Basic site rep class really gives them an idea of our structure at CSLEA, how we resolve workplace issues, when and at what level we intervene. It gives them the tools to becoming a site representative so that they can work with their managers to correct problems that arise at work.”
“Site representatives are our boots on the ground team who care about their co-workers and strive to make the work environment a positive one,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “I admire and applaud our site representatives for the work that they do, all volunteer, and in the name of unity and this union.”
