KERN COUNTY – On July 24, 2019, California Department of Fish and Wildlife wardens assisted the Kern County Sheriff’s Office with executing two search warrants in Rosamond.
Wardens and deputies seized 3,759 marijuana plants (estimated street value more than $17,000,000) as well as a shotgun, several high capacity magazines, and body armor.
Arrested were Sarkis Saradzhyan, 24 and Marazyan Hovhannes, 64, for illegal cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a place for the purposes of sales, conspiracy, and discarding hazardous waste into a sewer system. An additional charge of resisting arrest was added to Hovhannes for barricading himself in a fortified building. Both individuals were booked into the Kern County.
