VISALIA – On September 11, 2019, the California Association of Regulatory Investigators and Inspectors (CARII) hosted an evening informational meeting and event in Visalia for Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) program representatives.
“The CARII board of directors very much wanted to meet with members and non-members alike to share information about the negotiations process and what now needs to be done, post contract negotiations to improve a number of issues for BAR program representatives,” said CARII President Tom Ineichen. “We had a great turnout of more than 65 individuals, and we discussed a lot.”
The meeting and event were held at the Blain Farms & Motorsports Collection, allowing those in attendance to grab a snack, or a root beer float form the A&W panel truck, and tour a collection of vehicles.
In attendance from the CARII board was CARII President Tom Ineichen and Directors Tim Toy, Mario Salas and Ron Headlee. Also, in attendance was CSLEA Senior Counsel Jim Vitko.
“I want to thank everyone who attended to find out, first-hand, what work and actions are taking place on their behalf,” said Ineichen. “It’s easy to listen to hearsay and formulate opinions, but to personally take the time to learn what the union is doing and ask questions is admirable. Thanks everyone for showing up. It was great to see and hear from you.”
