SACRAMENTO – A catastrophic time bank has been established for Richard Peretti, a Department of Justice (DOJ) Latent Print Analyst II in the Bureau of Forensic Services, Sacramento and a member of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the Association of Criminalists-DOJ for more than 11 years. Peretti has been unable to work as he is caring for a family member and will exhaust his leave credits during the month of January.
“This is a fellow public safety employee in need of our help,” said Association of Criminalists-Department of Justice (AC-DOJ) President John Miller. “The Catastrophic Time Bank (CTB) is a way in which state employees can transfer some of their vacation, annual leave, personal leave, CTO or personal holidays to Richard so that he can continue to be paid while he focuses his family. None of us is ever fully prepared to be in that position and this is a way, we as a family of state employees, can help.”
