SACRAMENTO- On Friday, February 14, 2020, newly elected California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) President George Tiongson and Director on Behalf of the Lottery Robert Forte, along with California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Chief Counsel Kasey Clark, met with Lottery Law Enforcement Deputy Director Jeremy Linson, Assistant Deputy Director Shameil Jones, and Labor Relations Officer Angelique Del Toro.
During the meeting, Forte expressed appreciation for the support the law enforcement division has been receiving from management. “This first meeting was a great start. I’m looking forward to continuing positive communication and improving the working conditions for Lottery investigators,” said Forte.
The parties also discussed enhanced efforts at recruitment and retention and expediting of the background process. Linson stated one of his primary goals is to have employees with expertise analyze the significant amount of data available to help address enforcement needs. Although Linson and Jones are on loan from the California Highway Patrol through August, no final decision on whether their contracts will be extended has been made.
“It’s these kinds of meetings that establish a great working relationship with management and it’s great to be able to meet and bring issues our members have to them,” said Tiongson. “We thank everyone for their time and commitment.”
