SANTA ANA – On March 2, 2020 the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate California Organization or Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE) welcomed to membership, new members Enrique Valadez and Christian Gomez.
CSLEA Senior Counsel Jim Vitko met with several licensing registration examiners who are training for their new jobs at the California Department of Motor Vehicles and answered any questions they had about state employment and union membership.
“There’s a lot going on for licensing registration examiners as they train and begin their careers with the DMV,” said Vitko. “I’m fortunate to be able to meet with them for about an hour and talk to them about their jobs, their rights and how belonging to their union can provide job insurance. Their jobs are unique in that they are providing a public safety service by giving driving tests to the motoring public. It can be a stressful job and unfortunately much can go wrong while testing the skills of drivers young and old. CSLEA and COLRE are very accessible and are proud to represent licensing registration examiners.”
