RIVERSIDE – On May 12, 2020, Steve Fulton, Secretary-Treasurer for the CHP Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) met with new dispatchers training at the Ben Clark Training Facility in Riverside to conduct a new employee orientation on behalf of CHP-PSDA and the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA). During the orientation, he welcomed five dispatchers to union membership.
“I really appreciate that these people are stepping up to serve their community in these uncertain times, and they undoubtedly can see the importance of having the union by their side throughout their new career,” said Fulton.
The dispatchers will be serving communities in Chico, Sacramento, Bakersfield and Los Angeles.
“CSLEA would like to welcome our newest members and thank them on choosing a career in public safety,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “As public safety dispatchers, they will be helping to save lives and assist people during emergencies. We are here to assist them in their careers and negotiate on their behalf. We value the work that they do and their membership.”
