CDFW Assists Riverside County with Illegal Cannabis Operation Investigations Five arrested, 17 firearms seized

RIVERSIDE COUNTY - On August 26, 2020, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Riverside County Code Enforcement, served five marijuana cultivation related search warrants in the unincorporated communities of Aguanga and Anza.  During the service, 3,338 marijuana plants were eradicated for a total weight of approximately two tons.  Seventeen firearms were located, including two assault rifles.

“Serving search warrants such as these puts officers in potentially dangerous situations in which firearms are on the property and no one’s happy to see them” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona.   “Fortunately, they all went home safe.”

The following subjects were arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation:

Gregory Burnett, 63, of Anza

Cynthia Barker, 56, of Anza

Robert Wake, 47, of Aguanga

Ngoc Tang, 33. Of Temecula

Tavis Bryant, 57, of Aguanga
