SAN LUIS OBISPO – On February 24, 2021, Hospital Police Association of California  (HPAC) President  Luis Jimenez and Board Member Ezra Cosby, along with California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Supervising  Counsel Dave De La Riva attended the Department of State Hospitals Office of Protective Services Hospital Police Officer Academy in Camp SLO located in San Luis Obispo to meet with cadets.

The union representatives provided the cadets with lunch and a brief presentation of the union member benefits. In addition, the cadets learned about their rights under POBR and the Bargaining Unit 7 contract.

“This is an important time in their new careers, and we like them to know they have a partner in us, and we stand ready to help,” said Jimenez.  “We congratulate the cadets on their accomplishments and wish them the very best in their endeavors with their new careers as Hospital Police Officers. Good luck in the Academy, we look forward to working with you.”
