Hello CAFI members –
The California Association of Fraud Investigators (CAFI) Board of Directors has opened nominations for a Food & Ag representative to the Board. The nomination period begins today and ends at the close of business on April 29, 2021. The election will be held shortly thereafter.
The election is to fill the vacant Food & Ag CAFI Board position. This position is temporary until the general CAFI elections are held later this year. The representative will be expected to attend after hours virtual/phone meetings on their personal time. There are usually two or three of these a year. Union Leave Time is available for Board meetings which take place during the day, which happens once a year. Representatives are expected to attend Site Rep Training if they have not already done so.
Nominations: To be eligible to serve as a Representative to the CAFI Board one must be a dues paying member in good standing with CSLEA and CAFI. Members designated as management level 2 are not eligible to serve on the CAFI Board.

CAFI was established as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation to promote the economic and professional interests as well as the working conditions of the membership. CAFI is one of 18 affiliate associations that comprise the CSLEA Board of Directors. CSLEA is the sole representative of the employees within the California State Employee Bargaining Unit 7.
