WEST SACRAMENTO – On May 3, 2021, dispatchers training at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento met with union representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA). The meeting was an opportunity for the new dispatchers to meet their representatives, to learn more about the union and its benefits and services, and to ask questions.
“CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar and I conducted a new employee orientation which allowed us to meet our newest members in person and discuss how union membership can benefit them throughout their career,” said CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez. “We are coming up on important meetings with the state and the dispatchers want to support our efforts as we work on their behalf. In addition, we are here for them should they run into any concerns along the way. We welcome them to their new careers and to CSLEA.”
The new dispatchers are from Los Angeles, Sacramento, Inland, Ukiah, Chico and Fresno communication centers.
