RIVERSIDE – On July 2, 2021, the Cal Fire Office of the State Fire Marshal and Riverside Police Department served a search warrant which resulted in the seizure of a large number of illegal fireworks and more than $40,000 in cash.
The search warrant was served at 7:00 a.m. at an apartment on Magnolia Avenue in Riverside after an ongoing investigation led by the Cal Fire Office of the State Marshal.
Carlos Saldana Diaz, 21, of Riverside, was arrested on 90 felony counts of possession of an explosive device and child endangerment.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office was assisted by the Riverside Fire Department, Riverside Police Department’s Technical Services Unit, FBI, ATF, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, LAPD, and the Riverside County Gang Impact Team.
