SACRAMENTO – On October 4, 2021, the California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) Board of Directors held their quarterly meeting at the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Northern and Southern offices.
In attendance were CACI President George Tiongson and Directors Lisa Gunson, Eduardo Martinez, Roberto Camacho, James Potts, Irma Diaz and Mikkel Libarle, as well as CSLEA Chief Counsel Kasey Clark and Senior Counsel Jim Vitko.
CACI President, George Tiongson expressed appreciation to Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Investigator Irma Diaz for her long service to the CACI Board and its members and wished her a happy retirement.
DHCS Investigator Jose Rodriguez was appointed to the Board and will represent DHCS for the remainder of Diaz’s term.
Among the many topics discussed was the approval of five $2,000 scholarships to be offered to CACI members and their families. Additional information on the application and selection process will be forthcoming.
Finally, the Board approved January 22, 2022 as the date for the CACI annual membership meeting. The annual meeting is open to all CACI members and will be held in Southern California.
“As we navigate back to a normal way of life, I want to let all of our CACI members know that your board of directors is working on getting more benefits back to our membership,” said CACI President Tiongson. “We have taken your comments and are working on making them come to fruition.”
