Dear HPAC Member,

The Hospital Police Association of California (HPAC)  is deeply saddened by the loss  of our valued member Ricky Arenivaz Valdez on October 9, 2021.  Officer Arenivaz Valdez lost his life as he traveled home from his job protecting patients, staff and the community at Coalinga State Hospital.  His life was tragically taken by a suspected DUI driver.  He leaves behind three teenaged children whom he loved dearly.  Officer Arenivaz Valdez is greatly missed by those who loved, knew, and worked with him.
