In September 2021, CSLEA inquired about the level of interest among CALEE members who might like to serve on a new CALEE Advisory Board. CSLEA received responses from members working at Department of State Parks, Department of Justice, and Exposition Park Department of Public Safety.
As CSLEA will likely begin appointing members to volunteer positions on this advisory board in early 2022, it is again announcing openings for those interested.
Members of the Advisory Board would meet with CALEE President Ricardo Sanchez approximately three times a year. Although these are volunteer positions, release time may be provided if necessary. Advisory Board members would likely be called upon as subject matter experts during contract negotiations and participate in “meet and confers” with the respective departments.
