“Serving search warrants at properties in which there are suspected illegal cannabis operations is dangerous for law enforcement officers as often the suspects are armed. It is law enforcement work that must be done to protect neighbors, communities, our environment and our economy.” – CSLEA President Alan Barcelona

“These grows are not our legal medical or recreational marijuana use sites. These illegal drug trafficking operations are typically cartel, street gangs or other drug traffickers. The lack of considerations they have for the community, the land and our waterways is just disgusting. The filth that we find at each location is disturbing. The Marijuana Enforcement Team will continue to focus their efforts on these dangerous growing operations. Criminals like this will NOT be tolerated by me or my office. I encourage those DTO’s that we have not busted yet to pack up and leave because we are coming for you,” said Mendocino County Sheriff Jeremy Briese
