COLRE Wishes Two LREs a Happy Retirement

WOODLAND HILLS – As a way of saying “thank you,” and honoring two exceptional Department of Motor Vehicles Licensing Registration Examiners (LREs) and union members, on Friday, July 22, 2022, the California Organization of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE) hosted a small goodbye gathering for retiring LRE’s Richard So and COLRE Site Rep Carlos Chacon. Both union members are retiring from the DMV office in Winnetka.

“This was in celebration of the end of a long journey for these two exceptional examiners. The Compadres, as they are often referred to, decided that it was time to trade in the clipboards for surfboards.  The kind that surf the web and not the Pacific,” said COLRE President Enrique Razo.  “We thank them for always working to keep our roadways safe by examining the skills of those being tested, from the newest to the oldest of drivers.”

Joining the appreciation dinner was CSLEA Legal Counsel Jim Vitko, COLRE President Enrique Razo, Examiners Noel Flores, David Rodriguez, and Sam Kalungara.

“Richard and Carlos, we wish you all the best,” said Razo.
