ANTIOCH- On August 31 and September 7, 2022, the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), with the assistance of California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Antioch Police Department, served 17 search warrants related to unlicensed indoor cannabis cultivations in the city of Antioch.
According to the Antioch Police Department, the operation resulted in the seizure of:
- 10,451 unlicensed indoor cannabis plants worth an estimated $7.3 million,
- $23,355 in cash,
- Six firearms.
“Unlicensed indoor cannabis cultivation operations can be very unsafe and put neighboring homes and people at risk,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona. “Fortunately, these law enforcement officers put a stop to these operations and the community can breather a little easier.”
