VENTURA, Calif. – On November 1, 2022, Steven Franklin Gordon, 68, of Camarillo, pled guilty in Ventura County Superior Court to nine counts of felony grand theft and admitted a special allegation of taking more than $500,000 in a nearly $2 million insurance fraud case.
Gordon, an insurance agent, stole more than $1.8 million from three clients between September 2014 and November 2020. He was arrested on August 21, 2021.
The years-long fraud investigation was led by the California Department of Insurance.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 28, 2022.
