WEST SACRAMENTO – On December 5, 2022, 12 dispatchers training at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento received a visit from union representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA).
“CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar and I conducted a new employee orientation to introduce ourselves and discuss the role we have in assisting CHP public safety dispatchers and operators throughout their careers,” said CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez. “It is always a pleasure to meet our newest members, let them know how accessible we are to them and how we work to improve and protect their working conditions, salaries and benefits. They have a very important role as first responders and we want to be sure they have all the protections in place for a safe, healthy and rewarding career.”
The dispatchers are from the Los Angeles, Sacramento, Border, Golden Gate and Merced communications centers. CSLEA welcomes its newest members and thanks them for seeing the value in union membership.
