NORWALK – On December 15, 2022, California State Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Supervising Counsel Dave De La Riva and Hospital Police Association of California (HPAC) Site Representative Jose Leal conducted a new employee orientation (NEO) at Metropolitan State Hospital to introduce new state hospital police officers to union representatives and union membership.
“A lot can happen during a hospital police officer’s career and that’s one reason CSLEA and HPAC meet with new officers to explain the benefits of union membership and why it is so important,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “Union membership means you have a team of professionals on your side, including a team of attorneys and the union’s legal defense fund. We welcome the officers to the CSLEA HPAC family and look forward to serving them as they protect MSH patients, staff, visitors and the surrounding community.”
