LIVERMORE – As the result of an investigation, on January 10, 2022, the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), and Livermore Police Department seized more than $3 million from an unlicensed indoor cannabis cultivation operation located in a warehouse in an industrial area in the city of Livermore.
Law enforcement officers seized:
- 3,460 plants ($2,140,875 worth)
- 683.1 pounds of processed flower ($1,127,115 worth)
- $46,888 in cash
- Three firearms including an assault rifle
No arrests were made.
“The investigations into unlicensed cannabis operations in California is critical to public safety, the success of California’s legal cannabis industry, and public services that California provides for its citizens,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona. “Unlicensed cannabis operations are a part of the underground economy in which taxes are not paid and often are run by armed individuals which can threaten public safety.”
