CSLEA and CACI Participate in Mandatory Training for DCC Investigators

SACRAMENTO - On May 16, 2023, California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) President and Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) Supervising Investigator George Tiongson, along with California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Chief Counsel Kasey Clark, participated in mandatory training for investigators assigned to the Department of Cannabis Control's Law Enforcement Division at the Sacramento DCC Law Enforcement Division headquarters.

Tiongson provided an overview on the benefits of CSLEA membership, the status of collective bargaining and a legislative update. Clark gave a presentation on Officer Involved Shootings/Critical Incidents drawing on his 33 years of representing peace officers both as an attorney responding to shooting call-outs as well as his service as Legal Administrator for the CSLEA Legal Defense Fund.

“Any time we get a chance to, we want to always inform our CSLEA members of any updates and items that impact them. I wanted to thank our chief counsel for taking the time to update our staff on OIS and critical incidents,” said Tiongson. “It’s important information they should know.”
