COALINGA – On May 19-20, 2023, CSLEA Member Services Representative Marco Castro and Hospital Police Association of California (HPAC) Treasurer Ezra Cosby were present at a career fair held at Coalinga State Hospital.  During the event, the union representatives spoke with men and women seeking information about public safety jobs such as hospital police officers and communications operators.  In addition, the pair met with numerous hospital police officers and union members who were present.

“This was an opportunity for Ezra and myself to talk with hospital police officers regarding union membership benefits and services,” said Castro.   “We also discussed the CSLEA sponsorship program, CSLEA LDF and insurance. I emphasized the importance of being a union member with the current laws affecting law enforcement officers like SB2. We also discussed the contract process and as a union member being able to vote on a tentative agreement once one is reached.  I think the CSLEA members we spoke to were very happy to have a CSLEA representative on site to answer questions and concerns.”
