CSLEA and CalHR conducted bargaining sessions on Thursday and Friday, August 17-18. The parties reached tentative agreements modifying existing contract language including transfers, have nearly signed off on safety equipment proposals for various departments, and rolled over a number of articles without change. Substantial progress was also made on special salary adjustments and a variety of pay differentials including two new incentives to address unit-wide retention issues. The parties are again scheduled to bargain Thursday and Friday of this week and will also continue to work away from the table on finalizing outstanding items.
