SACRAMENTO – On October 11, 2023, representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), along with a representative from the Association of Motor Carrier Operation Specialists (AMCOS), met with CHP Motor Carrier Specialists who were attending regional training at CHP headquarters in Sacramento.

CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez who represents MCSs throughout California answered inquiries regarding the new MOU with the State and the negotiations process.  AMCOS Director Keven Weaver discussed bargaining proposals that were submitted and subject matter expert testimony during negotiations.

CSLEA Member Services Representative Marco Castro discussed union membership benefits and services.

CSLEA recognizes the comments made during this union outreach and appreciates the feedback.

“Our work is not done,” said Perez.  “Our efforts to improve benefits, salaries and working conditions do not pause just because we have embarked upon a new MOU.  Our work is year-round and we are committed to our members.  Thank you to all who joined us today.”
