RIVERSIDE – The holiday season isn’t slowing down six people eagerly training to become CHP dispatchers throughout the state. Their work is taking place at the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside where CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) Secretary and Treasurer Steve Fulton visited on December 5, 2023.
Fulton conducted a new employee orientation in which he introduced CHP-PSDA and the California Statewide Law Enforcement to those considering union membership. Fulton’s extensive history as a dispatcher and union representative allows him to provide information about how the union has helped dispatchers, as individuals and as a group, over the years. He provides much information about the benefits and services that union membership brings and how the union protects their rights.
The dispatchers in attendance agreed that union membership means having a partner beside them as they embark upon their careers. CSLEA and CHP-PSDA extend a warm welcome to its new members and look forward to serving them.
