LOS ANGELES – On April 11, 2024, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Major Crimes Bureau arrested an organized robbery crew involved in a series of violent robberies in the greater Los Angeles County area. The four suspects (three adults ranging in age from 18-27 and one juvenile) were allegedly responsible for at least 44 separate robberies beginning in early February 2024. The crew stole at least $251,000.00 worth of Scratchers tickets and subsequently redeemed the stolen tickets for at least $91,000.00 in profit. This robbery crew mainly targeted 7-Eleven stores and assaulted multiple store employees in the process of stealing Scratchers tickets. The arrests were made by deputies from LASD Major Crimes Bureau after multiple days of planning, tracking, and observation.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will be responsible for filing criminal charges against the suspects.
