EL CENTRO – On May 17, 2024, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Senior Counsel Jim Vitko and California Organization of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE) President Enrique Razo visited the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in El Centro.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with the examiners and to discuss the extreme heat conditions that they are working under. In mid-May, the temperatures in the El Centro area have already topped 100 degrees.
“The health and safety of our examiners is our utmost priority,” said Razo. “Commercial drive tests in rural offices create unique challenges which can be overlooked. We want to be sure the health and safety of our members is being considered. Thank you to our members who met with us. We are always working for you.”
