Congratulates union members on their promotions to State Fire Marshal III Specialist
SACRAMENTO – On May 22, 2024, Fire Marshal & Emergency Services Association (FMESA) Director Thomas Becerra attended CAL FIRE’s Office of State Fire Marshal Promotion and Badge Pinning Ceremony in Sacramento to proudly witness the promotion of three California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) members who now serve the State of California as State Fire Marshal III Specialists.
“A badge pinning ceremony is a very proud moment in one’s career. I was honored to attend, and inspired by our members and their public safety service,” said Becerra. “Congratulations to CSLEA and FMESA members Brian Madsen, Jeremy Jones and Steve Mahoney. You make us all proud!”
CAL FIRE’s Fire and Life Safety Division Chief Jack “CJ” Stinson presented the badges and the reading of the oath to all new and promoted employees was presented by State Fire Marshal Daniel Berlant.
“The ceremony was well-attended. It’s a chance for colleagues and family members to come together to celebrate these achievements. It’s really special to be a part of this. Again, a very heartfelt congratulations to all,” said Becerra. “We wish everyone much success and safety!”
