SAN DIEGO – Congratulations to California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) members who competed in this year’s United States Police and Fire Championships in San Diego. The United States Police & Fire Championships, held June 8-15, 2024, is an Olympic-style competition for athletes representing law enforcement and firefighters throughout country.
Returning home with medal wins was CACI member Storm Huie. Huie won three medals competing in the men’s Track and Field competition (35-39-year- old) on June 8th:
- gold medal in 4×100 meter relay,
- bronze medal in the 100-meter dash (11.53),

On June 14th, Huie also competed in the 35- and-older Men’s Jiu Jitsu competition in the black/brown belt Cruiserweight division (180 to 190lbs), finishing with 2 wins and 1 loss for a 3rd place finish.
“Any time you can finish on the podium is a good day,” said Huie. “Special thanks to my family, coaches, teammates, and CSLEA/CACI for all of your help. I am looking forward to participating in next year’s USPFC event in San Diego and the 2025 World Police and Fire Games in Birmingham Alabama.”
CACI President George Tiongson earned a bronze medal competing in a singles Pickleball competition. CACI Member Christine Rodriguez earned a gold medal for Pickleball singles, and together Tiongson and Rodriguez earned a silver medal partnering in mixed doubles.
CACI Members Michael Buckley and Justin Stanley also competed in the United States Police & Fire Championships. Buckley competed in the Pickleball competition and Stanley in the Ice Hockey competition.
“I encourage all our members to participate in the games, it’s a great opportunity to network, have some fun, and be involved in healthy competition,” said Tiongson. “We more than encourage our members to participate next year as CACI will hopefully be able to sponsor more individuals with entrance fees. Great job to all!”
