WEST SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate the CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) extend a very warm membership welcome to six CHP dispatchers currently training at the CHP academy in West Sacramento. The dispatchers visited with two union representatives on August 12, 2024 and recognized the value and importance of union membership.
“CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with some of our newest members to introduce ourselves and to discuss the benefits of union membership as they embark upon the very challenging career as a public safety dispatcher,” said CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez. “We really like to take the time to get to know each other, to answer questions about the protections union membership provides and Victor, a very experienced CHP public safety dispatcher, shares a lot of incredible insight, guidance, and support.”
The dispatchers will be working in CHP communication centers in Orange County, Fairfield, Yreka, Sacramento, Indio and Monterey.
